Recycled Bikes

Considering taking up bike riding, but don't have a bike? Why not buy a recycled bike?

A recycled bike is one that has been donated to a "bicycle recycling workshop", who fix any problems, and then sell it at a very reasonable price to someone like you.

If you want to try bike riding, but are reluctant to buy an expensive new bike (just in case you give it up), then a recycled bike could be just the thing.

One bike workshop LIVE can recommend is BAC Bikes, which is located here at 329 Dorcas Street, South Melbourne, on the land occupied by the Uniting Church. BAC Bikes is managed by Mark Horner (0437 354 318) and is an initiative of South Port UnitingCare. BAC Bikes has many bikes for sale. Sometimes there are highly sought after "retro bikes" available. Mark is also able to repair your current bike, at a modest cost, if it has been unused for years and just needs to be safe to ride again.

This Google Search lists "recycled bike" places in Melbourne. To find a recycled bike place close to where you live run the search. Then replace the word Melbourne in the search with the name of your Suburb or City. Then run the seach again.
