If you have heard about Transition Towns, and would like to know more, why not attend a Transition Towns Film and Discussion.

The Transition Towns movement ( http://www.transitiontowns.org/ ) encourages the development of a low carbon society, addressing the problems of both climate change and peak oil. We are holding a film and discussion event, for people interested in how a Transition Town might operate in an inner city area like St Kilda.

A Transition Town includes locally based groups involved in areas such as local food production, water and waste management, energy, transport, planning and design and community involvement in general.

If you are interested in creating a more sustainable, thriving urban community, or would just like to know more, you are welcome to attend.
